Mr James Armatage

James qualified from Liverpool University Medical School in 1985 and spent 12 years training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before taking up a consultant post at Leighton Hospital, Crewe in 1997. He continues to practice in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is a fellow of the RCOG. During his training, he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in the Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Conception Unit in Bristol. He has developed fertility services at Leighton Hospital, setting up a dedicated fertility clinic for the rapid assessment and treatment of patients including the provision of IVF and ICSI. He is the Divisional Clinical Director of the Women’s Children’s and Sexual Health Division at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
