Mr Rafet Gazvani

After High school Mr. Gazvani decided to go to Medical School specifically to do IVF following the birth of Louise Brown, the first IVF baby. He graduated from The Medical Faculty, University of Istanbul in 1986.Following junior surgical appointments in Istanbul, he started his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK at East Surrey General Hospital in 1990. In 1991 he moved to Liverpool and completed most of his training in the Region.In 1998 he moved to The University of Aberdeen as a Lecturer where he completed his Subspecialist Training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. In 2001, whilst waiting for the position n Liverpool to become available, Mr. Gazvani was appointed as a Consultant/Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Aberdeen. In 2002, he moved to The Liverpool Women’s Hospital as a Consultant Gynaecologist, Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine. Mr. Gazvani is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and holds a prestigious seat at the “Audit and Guidelines Committee” of the same College. He is widely published in the field of reproductive medicine and is in “Dr. Foster’s List of Experts” in the fields of “Infertility” and “Endometriosis”.
